38 Lyncis (38 Lyn, 38 Lyncis) is a Class A1, fourth-magnitude star in the constellation Lynx. Johannes Hevelius was referring to the Eurasian lynx, which he and others perceived as being spotted like a leopard. 38 Lyncis is a binary double star located about 120 light-years from Earth.
